elgraves just recced this and I immediately knew I had to read it. HDM/Sherlock fusion fic, yes please!

This was fantastic -- your writing is very good and I really enjoyed all the little details you. I keep wondering which of the alethiometers is/was Lyra's.

I'm looking forward to the next bit very much.

Wow. I've held off reading this series till it was finished because it looked good. It's a lot better than just good.
It's amazing!

I have been waiting for the big reveal FOR SO LONG! And it's awesome that it finally happened. This was a great chapter. I really can't wait for more!

AND JOHN! THE SUBJECT OF A PROPHECY! It's like being Harry Potter, except not.

Thanks! I purposefully left a big gap between the attack and the reveal to build some tension :D

Thanks! And John's sensitivity to Stanislaus particles is indeed something of a plot point...

Yay for time zone differences! It is 3:30 am here and I was about to go to bed. Then I remembered you were in Australia and decided to see if you had posted since I checked a few hours ago.

What an engaging story. I can't wait to see where you take it.

Is it wrong that I LOL'ed at how flustered and outraged Sherlock was with finding out new information about John that he couldn't deduce- he knew 'mummy' and witches tried to kill him. And John is supposed to bring about the doom of that witch clan? And he can sense those particles apparently and it's all very fascinating. Lovely chapter, can't wait to see where you take it.

Thanks! And as you can see, this is the point at which my plot starts to seriously deviate from the plot of the series...

*wide-eyed* Ooh! Just read chapter 6 and you've gone and hooked me good. Now I'm going to have to read it from the beginning!

whooo another update! I must concur with the previous reviews in saying thank goodness you regularly update.

you write your cliffes well, infuriating, but I'm also a sucker for anticipation, so delicious too :)

Thanks! And I must admit to being inordinately fond of cliffhangers :D

Thanks! Glad you liked concussed John - I was bit worried that part wouldn't seem real, but people have assured me it's written realistically.

i need more of this. NOW. NOW NOW NOW.

and the reveal about mummy! i wondered when they'd get around to it. AND SHERLOCK'S REACTION. Oh, boys.

Thanks! And I figured it would be best (re: funniest) for Mycroft to reveal John's friendship with Aeliana.

Yes! They finally know who's who, so to speak :D
Loved this chapter. Love that something is happening on the witch front (also so to speak) :)
I'm also glad that Sarah is such a sensible person and that she and John are still friends.
Oh and I was very impressed with your writing in the first part, namely the part where John is out of it because of his concussion. That came across very well! Wonderfully done :)

Thanks! And I figured in a world with dæmons, you'd probably figure out very quickly whether a romance was going anywhere or not.

*please wait. brain rebooting after crash from awesome overload*

This story is amazing. Absolutely fantastic. The characterizations, the interactions of the characters with their daemons...

Raniel and Sherlock in this chapter were amazing. The longing, the desire to be touched - it shows how incredibly deep the bond between Sherlock and John really is. And the angst, the beautiful, emotional angst and UST!

I have been waiting for this revelation since John moved in with Sherlock, and it did not disappoint. Sherlock's loud violin pluck (his equivalent of freaking out) and Raniel actually freaking out...beautiful. Although methinks Mycroft enjoyed the revelations a little too much.

Part of comment where I go fangirl and speculate about the future - Feel free to ignore:

i feel like the prophecy the witches have is self fulfilling - they tried to kill John because he will lead to their destruction, and I'm pretty sure Sherlock is going to destroy them because they tried to kill John.

With the added twist of daemons, TGG should be very, very interesting. I predict Moriarty being an evil bastard, which may involve stretching/touching Amarisa.
*end speculation*

When I see this story has been updated, it makes me beam. I read every chapter at least twice, if not more. The length helps tide me over between chapters. Also, the "eventual slash" in the description is the only thing preventing me from losing my mind.

In short, this story=win

Thanks! And yes, Mycroft had far too much with his little revelation - I picture him as being a bit gloating whenever he knows something Sherlock doesn't.

As for Moriarty...well, he's going to be quite the evil bastard...

Oh my god, this is like a late Christmas gift! This fic is so good, and you write so beautifully, and you manage to bring these two worlds together in a way that feels very organic. I love it.

This was brilliant! I loved John's concern for Sherlock once he realized he was in in the blast zone. And poor John with a concussion! I liked this much better than the episode!

I had to laugh at Sherlock's reaction to realizing John knew his mother. And Mycroft's smugness was perfect! He was just waiting to spring that, and the death spells, on Sherlock.

I can't wait to see what happens next, and I'm loving the UST. When those two do get together it's going to be epic!

Thanks! And I love writing John/Sherlock UST - it's like their natural state!

OM f*ing GODDESS! That is awesome. You must write more. Please write more. This is so drool worthy.
Love how John finally found out that he knows their mom.
So curious about the umbrella and him feeling it.
So when does he get his chance with the Alethometer.
You are so mean with cliffhangers.
And damnit let Sherlock touch Amarisa. Or John have to snag Raniel from a situation.
PLease more.

Thanks! And I adore the idea of Mycroft with a magic umbrella - as soon as I thought of it, i knew I had to have it.
