Sherlock Fic - Reaction, Final Part
colourful, hills
Title: Reaction
Rating: R/NC-17
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, and am making no profit from their use, more's the pity.
Warnings: Non-con and slash, Sherlock/John.
Summary: Written for a prompt on the kinkmeme: Before shoving him in the explosive vest, Moriarty fucked John, viciously. John makes it through the whole encounter with Moriarty and Homles via his own badass soldier nerves of steel, but afterwards, when he and Sherlock are admitted to the hospital for minor burns and abrasions and shock, the hospital staff find other injuries on John.

I love this story so much! So many wounderful things!

It's been a huge part of _my_ life for the last couple of months and every part has been pitch perfect! You are the best author a beta could ever wish for! And the final cut of this is, as always, polished to perfection by you!

A few of my favourite things:
- Protective Sherlock, deciding that Sarah is an imbecile

- Sarah's realism

- happily bisexual John (more rare in this sort of fic, esp as it doesn't end with sex)

....and throughout the story, the way you write every character's pov.The multiple pov hospital scenes were just such amazing writing!

So much love! And excitement about what you'll write next!

<3 <3 <3

I love, love, LOVE, happy bisexual John. I will never write him any other way (unless, for some reason, I decide to write a bit on when he was a teenager and was still working it out).

And, as always, it wouldn't have been as good without you!

I think this was a great point to finish this fic, but I wouldn't mind it being the spot where you start a sequel too :D. I personaly think there's still many plotlines unfinished... but it's fine as long as they are together forever, so don't listen to me.

Loved this fic and am sad it's over so soon. Write more, please, I don't mind being it something totally different, I just love the way you write. Maybe something happier for a change? ;)

Thanks! I'm not feeling inclined towards a sequel at the moment, but we'll see how things go.

And I'm definitely intending to write more, have no fear of that. But my next story will definitely be cheerier.

A loevly ending - I agree that a sequel would be lovely but don't feel pressured about it. Very nicely ended. :D

Thanks! I'm not particularly inclined towards writing a sequal right now, but we'll see how things develop.

Brilliant, beautiful, what an ending. And how very Sherlock - you pitch his voice just right. Thank you so very much. (Although I will be sorry not to be able to look out for more updates.)

Thanks! I'm always ecstatic when people tell me I've gotten Sherlock right - he's often the hardest character to get a handle on.

this story is just absolutely gorgeous. You took a prompt that could potentially turn into cliche fic and made it into a really touching, and most importantly, in-character story. And the ending is just fantastic (YES TO NO HEALING!COCK) <3!

Thanks! I was trying to write it at least semi-realistically, which meant no healing!cock or porny ending.

This whole fic was wonderful. Honestly, you couldn't come back from something that traumatic without a big time jump, the best you could do was offer the possibility that one day John would. This worked.

Thanks! And yes, my options were pretty much continue the fic through years of their lives (and I don't think I have enough ideas to do that properly) or a time-jump, neither of which appealed to me.

I loved your story, Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you so much for writing this story ! It was wonderful. :)

I kind of knew it would end this way, and I commend you for it. This way the story can go on without being written as such... we know there will ultimately be a happy ending. Or there is in my mind at least!

Fantastic story! I truly enjoyed reading every chapter and looked forward to it. It's a shame there's no more but you've done a wonderful job on it.

Great stuff!

Thanks! And yes, in my mind, while a happy ending might be a while down the track, it's there awaiting them.

Yay... update... awwwww final chapter ;0(

But it was a beautiful ending to a great and well written story. The boys will make it through the dark and be strong together.

Thanks! And that's exactly the image I was trying to convey!

Thank you for this series. Angsty, well written. I ;iled changing p.o.v. a lot and I really admired all the subtle emotional states between them. There are so many precious, emotional moments that could be grasp into some illustrastion or such.

Once again, thank you.

And good place to finish the fic. The confession seemed to mee a little bit out of the blue, but it's maybe because English is not my first language and it slipped my attention before.

Thanks! I could either end the fic here, or drag it on indefinitely through John's recovery (which I didn't want to do and didn't think I could pull off) or have a big time-jump, neither of which appealed to me.

Oh, I can't believe it's over. This was one of the first fics I read when I first came into the Sherlock fandom and it is one of my favourites. Everything happens exactly as it would seem on the show, how John's secret was revealed, Sherlock's reaction and all the emotions that John but also Sherlock were going through and how they tried to get back to some sort of normality after it but it still being very hard.

I love how Sherlock calls Sarah an idiot because he would be willing to put up with anything so he could get John and the way he confessed, I have to say I was not expecting that but it does seem very suited to Sherlock.

You really showed how Moriaty goes back usual evil and why he is Sherlock's arch-nemesis. Everything's so graphic and realistic that I can't help but love it.

The ending where it's obvious that John is getting better but is not all the way there yet was brilliant and I liked it even if I'm sad it's over.

Thanks for writing this.

Thanks! I could picture Sherlock's 'confession' being very clinical and matter-of-fact. 'Oh, and I love you. What, you didn't know?'

A very good and realistic ending to this fic! John's on his way back, clearly.

“So? She'd still have you, wouldn't she? If I was in a relationship with you, I wouldn't let anything so paltry as lack of sex deter me.”

Perfect line!

And they love one another - and we figured it out even before Sherlock did, but still, it's nice to see them acknowledge it.

Thanks! I could see Sherlock as the type to be intensely, (almost crazily) devoted, you know?

Love this ending~

You have done an amazing job with this piece. I'm a little sad it has to end but thank you so much! I could very well see a sequel to this but ending it here does feel just as good. Please write again soon!

Thanks! I'm not feeling inclined towards a sequel at the moment, but I'm already working on another story!
