Sherlock Fic - Reaction, Part Eleven
colourful, hills
Title: Reaction
Rating: R/NC-17
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, and am making no profit from their use, more's the pity.
Warnings: Non-con and slash, Sherlock/John.
Summary: Written for a prompt on the kinkmeme: Before shoving him in the explosive vest, Moriarty fucked John, viciously. John makes it through the whole encounter with Moriarty and Homles via his own badass soldier nerves of steel, but afterwards, when he and Sherlock are admitted to the hospital for minor burns and abrasions and shock, the hospital staff find other injuries on John.

Part Twelve

Great instalment, as always.

Tea solves everything. Or at least sets it aside long enough to empty the cup.

Tea heals all! I can picture John as the kind of guy who has a cup of tea when he needs to relax.

Thanks for another excellent chapter! I loved Sherlock lashing out at Mycroft. The last scene is lovely. Tea is almost always a good idea.

Thanks! I figured the arrival of the package would get him supremely pissed off at Mycroft, who was supposed to hunting Moriarty down and stopping these things...

oh nightmares are no good! poor boys!

I know - I'm so mean to them!

As an aside, I adore your icon - it's so true!

“John could have opened that package,” Sherlock spat, in the same tone an ordinary person would use for a phrase like 'you committed genocide'.

There is absolutely nothing funny about rape. There is absolutely nothing funny about genocide. There is absolutely nothing funny about the level of pure, high-octane evil required for Moriarty to do something so utterly despicable as sending that package. And yet, I find myself giggling a little at this line. It's just so Sherlock -- so evocative of his extremes, the way he can be emotionless and analytical about things that would horrify most people and then turn around and prove himself utterly, fallibly human.

All that is to say that this story is extraordinary, and the little moments of comic relief are realistically and deftly placed in a story that could easily dwell too much on its own darkness, and they are appreciated. And it's sweet that Sherlock is (rightfully) so protective of John, even if he shows it by snarling at his brother.

Thanks! I'm trying not to drown the story in angst, even if the subject matter is hugely angsty all by itself...

A brilliant, heart-wrenching chapter yet again. Though I wonder if Sherlock is willing to do some concrete action soon...like REALLY go hunting for Moriarty's head. However, since he has vowed to guard John, I guess that is also best.

poor hands of sherlock!!!

as always all your characters emotions are spot on!

I have just devoured this fic in about four hours, your discriptions were spot on! Fantastic characterisation! You really drew me in to your world and got me hooked. Well done. :D

Thanks! Next part should be up soon!

Oh boys :(.

I'm glad John's counsellor seems to be helping a little, if only by reassuring John that his reactions are perfectly normal.

Sherlock's not coping well, either, having his first nightmare and scrubbing his hands irrationally raw. It's understandable, but it's so confusing for his normally rational mind. Will John get to the bottom of it and find out about the sheets?

Oh god that nightmare...I haven't had one that terrifying in about 6 months when I dreamed there was a swamp lady who stole my brother's soul and was coming after me, but Sherlock's was awful. God, I don't want to get caught up now because it means I have to wait for the next update. Really effing ingenious this. I need some new adjectives.
