So, so good. I'm so pleased to see more of this!

This is just brilliant and wonderful. And so very sad.

I am so , so happy that you haven't had some unrealistic "everythings forgiven" moment.

Frankly, I'm so mad at Sherlock and Mycroft that I really have no feelings of sadness for them. They did everything wrong. They honesy cheapened their relationships by what they believed. They also are so intensely selfish. I hate hate that even though they hate to see how John and "Rosy" are in pain....they are still more concerned with getting forgiveness, with explaining themselves away. The whole "i didn't think I was worth you" really makes me ill. It's as if Sherlock is saying "yeah, I know I did wrong...but look at my poor, hurt heart" makes me want to scream.

At this point? I'd be happy if John and Rosie don't return to the Holmes. That after long rest, they move on and find people that can respect them.

But, I am really angry at the Holmes. I am thankful that you haven't made a quick happy ending.

If possible, I hope that both Holmes realize how selfish they are trying to excuse their behaviour by making themselves the hurt ones.

You are really an amazing writer. I adore John and "Rosy" together, their friendship is stunning and I want to see more, more, more.

But I do hope that neither of them fall into the disgusting trap of "but mycroft and sherlock felt unworthy...so you should feel sorry and forgive them" that the Holmes clan set up for them.

Aw!....poor....poor....poor...well, everybody. :(

Frack! Frack! Frack! It's not over, I thought it was going to end in angst this chapter (I have been reading this story all day except for being in class) and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh please please please don't have abandoned this story. Because it's brilliant and it's tearing at my heart like a good story should and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

God, new chapter! Yes!

Wonderful!

I bow down in inferiority to this masterpiece of an epic.

Emotion: Perfect and riveting. Writing: Astoundingly awesome and perfectly used. Characters: Perfect, believable, and so damn awesome. Plot: Amazing, brilliant, and just damn epic. Pace: Perfect. Not leaving me in the dust, but not making me drag it onwards either.

Overall? THIS STORY IS SO DAMN AWESOME!

I don't know if I have commented on this story or not (I've read it a few times) but I just wanted to say that this is epic. The way you ended this part could be an ending to a fic, but I really hope it is not. I hope you continue this story.

I cannot even properly say just how much I love this story - it's just... incredible! The writing, the pace, the John-Anthea friendship and the Holmes brothers guilt - it's just epic!

Although I am in favour of letting Sherlock and Mycroft wallow in shame for a while, I hope John and Anthea can eventually forgive them.

I hope you continue this story, it really is amazing :)

Wow - amazing fic! You could actually just leave it there, but I'd love it if you continue.

I love this so, so much and I hope you're still working on this. :) :)

OMG read this in one go. sniffles, outright bawling, cheering, hugs, heartbreak

Oh please, please update this (when you have time, of course. I'm obsessed with this story, not rude.)

I absolutely love this, really, really love it particularly John's BAMF-y combat skills and the brilliant, wonderfully well-rounded out Jane/Anthea/Rosy. You don't mess with them, bitches!

Characterisation is a bitch, isn't it? Not to mention actual plot development. I just want them all to be happy again, even if Mycroft and Sherlock were complete twits. Hope they do, eventually, but distance is certainly needed while the Holmes boys suffer for a little while longer.

I think what is most interesting about this fic though is the change in relationship dynamics. Sherlock needs John, but now, while John does still love Sherlock desperately (why would his confession about his reasons for not talking to John hurt him so much?) he doesn't need him in quite the same way, not now. He can function without him; same with Jane. Mycroft needs her a hell of a lot more than she needs him, but once the resentment fades a little, I think the hurt and love is going to filter back, slowly.

Not to mention I can see Jane not going back to work for Mycroft, regardless of whether they get back together (I hope they do but you're the boss) or not. I reckon she and John will go freelance and be arse-kicking secret agents on their own terms, on the side of the angels of course.

Those Holmes boys have their work cut out for them...

Yay, more grovelling and home truths. Sherlock and Mycroft are really having to do some hard self-analysis and, better yet, find a way to articulate it to John and Anthea. So far it's not going well. I like that even Mummy has done her own bit of apologising and got equally short shrift for her efforts.

I think John has the right idea- go somewhere far away from any member of the Holmes clan, far away from any memories of their week-long ordeal and just relax in the sun. A bit of distance, without Sherlock and Mycroft hovering, will hopefully allow them to really think about what happens next and whether Sherlock and Mycroft will play any part in it.

Laura.

Rereading and re-enjoying this fic. Thanks for sharing your work!
