This has been simply brilliant so far. I've kind of been fascinated by the concept of daemons since I saw it in "The Golden Compass". I've read a few stories crossing over the theme into some of my favorite fandoms and liked them all. Sherlock (BBC) has become my new favorite fandom and your story is so very excellent. I will certainly be eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Thank you for a great read!!!

Thanks! I love writing the dæmons - they bring such added depth to any interaction, you know?

I've just read this entire fic in one go and the love I have for it is beyond words!

The way that you created the relationship between Sherlock and John while not isolating other characters and yet at the same time taking into account their daemons' personalities is breathtaking!

Not to mention the unusual choice of daemons, but extremely justifiable when following the story's plot.

I'm in awe of the world you've spun by crossing these two universes and I'm definitely looking forward to what occurs next with Jim and the prophecy

Brilliant job and an instant favorite!

Would you mind if I recced this on my page?

Thanks! And please, feel free to rec me :D

I've been reading this fic now for three days and I just love it to bits! There's not many crossovers I actually like, but this one is just plain awesome! :D

Thanks! I must admit, this story is awesomely fun to write!

I fell into this story, quite literally. I started reading last night and when 5:30am rolled around and I realized I had completely forgotten I was supposed to have slept sometime. Your characterization is brilliant and I'm more than a little in love with the universe you've created and the people that inhabit it. It was a bit devastating to see that the story isn't finished. I sincerely hope you intend to continue writing it. Regardless, you've now earned yet another avid fan. I take my hat off to you.

Thanks! And I'm most certainly continuing the story - real life is just a bit busy right now, so the updates will come at a slower pace...

I'm absolutely loving this story and sorry I'm late to the party. I literraly just found this story today and read through all 12 chapters. I'm happy to see it's a WIP and I can't wait to see where you go with the characters.

I'm loving the Daemons of all the characters. Expecially John's and Sherlock's!!

I am waiting in anticipation of your next chapter.

Thanks! And I've loved writing Raniel and Amarisa - they're so much fun!

So, I recently read this fanfic all the way through (linked from TV Tropes, where I find most of the awesome fanfics I read) and ended up staying awake until 3 a.m. because, I gotta say, this is awesome. Insanely awesome. This is an idea that I never would have thought of, and I really like how you worked in the three episodes before weaving the entire thing into your own story. It's genius. I think you pretty much nailed everyone's dæmons, too, especially John's. I really like that Amarisa's a wolfdog, because it really does fit John's personality, that blend of a dog's loyalty and a wolf's ferocity, which pretty much sums up John's character in a nutshell. And, of course, I've been a huge fan of ferrets/mustelids for years, so that Sherlock's dæmon is a polecat also appeals to me. I like how you blend the two universes together (Baker Street Irregulars are Gyptians instead of homeless people, awesome), and all in all I can't wait for you to update again.

Personally, my favorite scenes were the confrontation with Moriarty, Amarisa's crowning moment in the face-off with the daemon fighting ring, and the part where John finds out that his old friend Aeliana is none other than Sherlock's mother.

And now I'm not going to be able to watch Series 2 without imagining a polecat and a large wolfdog following them around. (Amarisa vs. the Hound of the Baskervilles? Oooooh...) Oh well, I'll get over it. Or I won't, because dæmons just automatically make everything cooler.

Thanks! It's kind of funny - Raniel was a bit tricky, and it took some serious thought to figure out what he'd be. But I always knew Amarisa was going to be a canine, and was leaning towards wolf when I discovered wolfdog - which of course, fits him so much better!

And while I didn't think I'd write in Season 2, considering how far my storyline has diverged, Amarisa vs the Hound of the Baskervilles is a very tempting prospect...

I love how John is a blend of Lyra and Will. Both John and Will dislike attention and try to stay as invisible as possible while also having a strong moral core that dislikes lying and are warriors when necessary. However, John has all the abilities Lyra had, being able to befriend all three species of sentient beings as well as the obvious connection of reading the alethiometer.

His Dark Materials is my favorite series of books thus far, and I am so happy that you did this story because you are (in my mind) bringing the story back to life again.

I can only ask that you do not bring about an ending like the one in the books. My heart cannot take another heartbreaking conclusion like the one that Lyra and Will had.

Thanks! And since neither Sherlock nor John is from another world, I can safely promise this story will not end like the book :D

...and the plot thickens!!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this fic! The only things that makes me sad it's the wait to the next chp. TT_____________TT I hope you'll update soon sweetie, you have truly a gift for writing AU!Sherlock. <3

Thanks! And this probably marks the point at which my plot just leaves the series behind entirely...

Oh dear god~ I'm just amazed by how you even can think of such a crazy story~ Don't get me wrong, crazy is a compliment, which means your mind is so different, just like Sherlock and John~

And I just can't wait to see what will heppen next~ John is a reader, and he will help Sherlock to destroy Moriaty. But now the question is HOW.

I'm confident that you can give us a big surprise (no pressure hah)

Any chance John is a descendent of Lyra?

This story is fantastic! I'm really, really enjoying it. It fits so naturally in with the Sherlock Holmes world in a way I wouldn't have expected. I think you did a great job adding details and developing the HDM world of today. I'll definitely start following for updates!

BTW, I found your fic through the podfic post in amplificathon, but decided to sit and read it instead.

Thanks! I liked sprinkling the story with little HDM references...

I just plowed through all twelve parts of this fic and just when I thought it wouldn't end (or at least have no further parts at the moment), it did. I can't wait for the next chapter. :D

Every time there is a link to a new piece of fantastic art for this incredible story, I rush over to see if there has been an update. I will keep on checking because this is so worthwhile. Thanks!

I know same here. I keep wanting to shake my computer to see if more of this wonderful story will come out.

Fantastic, I love this series.
I have already read it twice and listened to the podfic - the story and the language is gorgeous.
Most of all I love the characters, and how multi-dimensional they are.

Looking forward to the next part!

Thanks! I'm so glad you like the characters - that's always what I worry about the most...

I think I love you :)
I just read all of this and well, it's fabulous! Flows nicely, plots good, everything fits, and well LOVE!
And so there, not a great review, but just wanted to say I adore your writing, and can't wait for more!
Take Care :D

Thanks! And reviews are always great, no matter how coherent they are :D
