Title: Five Times Sherlock's Gender Didn't Matter (And One Time It Did).
Rating: Maybe M/15+, to be on the safe side?
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, and am making no profit from their use.
Warnings: Rather explicit discussion of sex, genderbend
Pairing: girl!Sherlock/John
Summary: Yes, another genderswap – it seems my muse thinks that since I've done John, it's Sherlock's turn. Written for a prompt on the kinkmeme: Instead of being amused/grateful for John showing up at the end of "A Study In Pink," Female!Sherlock is coldly furious with John for rescuing her. She gets quite enough of that sexist smothering from her brother and Lestrade, she doesn't need another man in her life constantly assuming she needs rescuing and protection. Cue John explaining that he didn't come after Sherlock because she's a woman, but because she's a FUCKING IDIOT AND KIND OF INSANE.

Fantastical. Truly. Enjoyed this immensely!

Oh, and I would kind of like to date your John.

Thanks!

And who *doesn't* want to date John? He's adorable!

I love you. I really love you.

♥_♥

This is awesome! I'm especially fond of your mention of John using technical terms in bed.

Well, he's a medical man, isn't he? :D

I love dthis for the reasons many stated above. I wonder if the relationship between Anderson and girl!Sherlok would be different. Maybe instead of seeing Sherlock as a raging sociopath and a dick, Anderson would see her a ballsy woman trying to make it in a man's profession.

I'm not really sure - I mean, this is still Sherlock, so there'd still be the pointed comments about his marriage and Sally and everything...

“I want to be fucked,” she says (says – she does not whine, whatever John might say).

Oooh, this was awesome! Really love Sherlock navigating her gender and John's treatment of her in response. I enjoyed how John was acting protective because Sherlock is Sherlock, not because she's a woman.

Hope you don't mind if I add this to my list of Sherlock genderswap fics here! :)

Thanks! I figure any Sherlock is going to need to be protected from themselves...

And list away!

any story that has “Brilliant, I'll get the lube.” is a story well worth the read. I also enjoyed the other stories, especially the HDM xover.

Ohh, just found that you have written another gender story, and this time with Sherlock as the female. You are just set on pushing all my buttons today! This was brilliant, and so believable, I can't imagine that Sherlock would be any quicker in realising how she feels about John, and the last scene is pure brilliance!

Thank you ever so much for writing these wonderful stories!

Thanks! And yes - male or female, emotions are not Sherlock's strong point...

I don't know why, but "Brilliant, I'll get the lube" is perhaps the greatest ending line ever. I can imagine Martin Freeman saying that perfectly.

Also, yay on female!Sherlock! I try to RP as her now and again, but people are very rarely interested. Out of curiosity, did you have an actress 'in mind' for the role?

Thanks! And I didn't really have anyone in mind - I don't think of actors, I think of characters.

I giggled myself silly, it was so awesome. I would LOVE to see your Sherlock!

I know this is being a bit repetitive, but... this is fantastic! I love girl!Sherlock and the twist of their relationship still being nearly the same, while a touch different. I love John he is fast becoming another of my favorite characters.

Thanks
Calia

Thanks! I did like writing this story - it was a lot of fun!

i love how in-character they remained throughout (which is sadly rare in gen-swap fic).

Thanks! I wanted to be sure that Sherlock was still essentially 'Sherlock', you know?
