The Blind Leading The Blind...

I don't know where the muses take me, I only know that I like it!

Oh, wow! This is the start of an amazing story. I'll admit that I've only got a passing acquaintance with HDM, but the two worlds feel very well integrated and I'm fascinated by the characters. I can't wait to see where this is going.

Thanks! I'll try to get the next part up soon!

Oh, this is going to be so much fun! I started looking forward to the next chapter before I was even halfway through this one. It's amazing how well HDM works when crossed with Sherlock and it's always such fun to read what kind of dæmon different authors chooses for the characters.

I really liked your John in this and the way his 'normality' makes him stand out (and Harry's insistence that she was the different one in their family). I also loved Sherlock's witch mother, she sounds awesome. Can't wait for Sherlock and John to meet!

Thanks! And I've found the idea of dæmons crosses well with just about everything...

This is so very awesome. I like the back and forth between John's childhood and Sherlock's, the differing ways they both fail to fit in.

I cannot wait for the next installment. :D

Thanks! I believe that in some ways, John is as weird as Sherlock, but he's just better at hiding it.

This is awesome. I can't wait to see how this goes.

I love HDM!verse Sherlock fics, so I'm glad to see another one!

You've done a good job picking deamons, I love the idea of John's being a wolfdog, it fits well with his loyalty and his love for being in the thick of things.

Thanks! I debated between making Amarisa a wolf or some exotic kind of dog, then I realised I could have the best of both worlds :D

I will read anything you write on the strength of your previous work, but HOO YEA this fusion is abfab!

Oooooh, I love me some Sherlock/HDM crossovers, and this one was just fabulous! You had all the characters down perfectly, and you included all the HDM canon so well... this was just fabulous!!

Will we be seeing any more? Perhaps Sherlock and John crossing paths?

Thanks! And there will most certainly be more; this part was just to establish the universe, get some basic ground rules down, and see how Sherlock and John have been shaped by this universe.

This is great! Tell me there's a sequel in the works!

A wolfdog TOTALLY works! Awesome!

Thanks! I'm particularly proud of Amarisa - I debated between a wolf or some kind of exotic dog, then I thought 'why not both?'

And this is only part one of the story - the next part will up as soon as I can get it out.

this is really fantastic and intriguing. I love the worldbuilding you have in here, and the characters were so absolutely perfect, even the OCs! :D

Thanks! I'm glad you think the OCs worked, because I kinda had to walk a fine line with them - enough information so you care about them, but not enough so that they take over the story.

All I know about HDM is from the movie (and I'll admit to being pretty distracted by all the great knitwear), but I love this story so far and am looking forward to reading more!

This was very interesting indeed! It's fascinating as it is, but it seems as if it is the first half of something. Is a sequel planned?

Thanks! And this is only the first part of the story - the second part is still in the works.

I eagerly await more of this! I'm only passingly familiar with the HDM universe (I read the first book years and years ago, and saw the movie), but you're weaving explanation in with the story wonderfully, it's enough to cover everything without being at all intrusive. Also, I just love the idea of daemons, so I'm really happy to see this crossover.

Young Sherlock, John and Mycroft are excellent, and I can completely imagine John being that sort of quiet thoughtful outsider that people are unsure of. Thought your choices of daemons for Lestrade and co were spot-on too.

Thanks! I love the idea of dæmons, too (obviously). Originally I was just going to do a short dæmon fic, but my beta planted the idea of incorporating the entire universe, and this fic just took off like a rocket!

OH! I love HDM xrossovers. So interesting!

I have loved all the HDM fics but this is absolutely spectacular writing! The level of detail, the characterisation, the sweep of the plot - the way you have incorporated the war and the signs of plot to come... This is the HDM fic I've been longing for! I love it so much and betaing it totally made my weekend!

<3 <3 <3

And to think, originally it was just going to be a short fic purely about dæmons, with nothing else from the HDM universe. Then you had to go and plant the idea, and everything just took off like a rocket.

Anyway, thanks so much for your help - this fic wouldn't have existed without your suggestion!

I love HDM cross overs. this was awesome

that's just great, dear))
will be waiting for more)))

Thanks! I'll try to get the next part up soon!

That was amazing! Fantastic integration of both worlds. I love your choices for daemons and I especially love how you've portrayed John. More please!

Thanks! I am, at heart, a complete fangirl for John Watson, and I think it shows :D

love it !
please more soon ^^

Thanks! I'm working on the next part even now!

\o/ When I saw that you'd written again, I cheered! :D And it's HDM fic!! I'm looking forward to reading more; this part was intriguing.

Thanks! I absolutely adore dæmon fic, so I couldn't resist writing my own!

Completely amazing! You've got their characters down brilliantly and their daemons just work so, so well. I love the contrast/compare between their childhoods too. I cannot wait for more.

Thanks! I glad you think their dæmons work - that was one of the things I really thought hard about.

Oh why oh why isn't there a like button?

I am endless excited for the rest of this.

Thanks! I'm working on the next part even now.

This was awesome. You've made it really intricate, loads of little details and world building. I don't know much at all about the HDM world but I don't feel like I need to at all to get this. Eagerly awaiting more!

Thanks! I'm trying to write it in such a way as to ensure people don't need to know a whole lot about the books/movie to understand it.

After I rolled my eyes at the thought of reading yet another HDM crossover, I decided I might as well see what your take on the world was. I'm very glad I did; you're exploring the witches and the bears, which were some of my favorite characters in the series and whom I haven't seen anyone delving into, so I'm extremely happy with this so far. Plus you're a sterling writer, so you have that to recommend you as well. I look forward to the next part!

Thanks! It my beta that actually suggested using the whole world (bears, witches, etc.) as opposed to just the dæmons, and once I had the idea my muse ran with it like crazy!

Apparently, HDM is a perfect crossover for the Sherlock-verse. You really have their characters and their daemons down perfectly.

Thanks! I tried to come up with appropriate dæmons, so I'm glad you think it works!

You actually have no idea how excited I am about this. It looks like it's going to be absolutely amazing.
